The Outstanding Adventures of Mirayi Mitsuku - Chapter 14
Hearing all the fuss that was going on upstairs Kyen ran up the stairs to go check on them. Mirayi and Mikol were both silent when he got there, strange, he thought. He looked around the room to see if something was broken or messed up but nothing was out of place. It was odd, he thought, sitting down on Mirayi’s bed.
-What happened? – He asked them.
No one answered.
He started to shake Mirayi shoulder. –Hey! Mirayi! What happened? Say something please! – He said looking worried.
She slowly looks at him and says –I don’t know if i want to have any more of these dreams with you guys...
Kyen was shocked, something really bad must have happened to Mirayi reply that way.
-What happened?? Please tell me. Why are you saying that now?
-I have my reasons. – She said lying down on her bed.
-You should tell me, please. I think as your best friend i have the right to know them. Or not? – Kyen said a little upset.
-I think i was the reason why she doesn’t want to dream anymore. – Mikol said with sad looking eyes.
Kyen looked at him stunned. –Why? Why are you saying that Mikol?
-I tried to make Mirayi hurry, to takes us to another adventure without even thinking of everything that’s important. But now i understand why it was so important to wait and rethink every little detail. Because our lives are at stake there... –Mikol said crying.
-But Mirayi, please... You need to think it over, you can see now that Mikol understands why we need to do more thinking now. We can also help you with that, we can all plan this together. Please?! – Kyen said trying to persuade Mirayi to change ideas.
- I may consider it, but only if you two promise me that from now on we’ll think about this together and try to agree with this tough decisions. – Said Mirayi with a tiny smile on her face.
So they decided to make a pact, first of all Mirayi wrote their agreements of that day, second, they all signed at the end of the paper and finally the third step was to seal the pact. They could have made a blood pact but since it would hurt at least a little, they thought about making a “Spit Pact” because it would have the same effect and it wouldn’t hurt a bit. After spitting in their own hands they gave a “Three Person” handshake to finally seal the pact.
-So what shall we do now? –Mikol asked them.
Mirayi and Kyen looked at each other smiling and said together –We write our adventure together of course!
Mikol smiled back at them, he was now happy because somehow he knew that they had done the right thing in waiting, their last adventure made him realise that he doesn’t want to die any time soon.
Kyen stat on a chair in front of Mirayi’s computer desk, he was getting ready to type their wannabe adventure on the computer.
Mirayi and Mikol sat next to him, each one at one side.
Mirayi reminded them of her previous ideas, snowy mountains, wooden cottages and ice lakes. That was a good start, they thought.
They spent the whole night writing, or at least most of it.
It was almost 10am when Mikol woke up, Mirayi and Kyen were still sleeping. Mikol took a closer look at them and noticed that Mirayi’s head was cuddled in Kyen’s shoulder, how cute, he thought.
He decided not to wake them up just yet, so he went down the stairs to the kitchen. Mirayi’s parents had already left for work, Mirayi and Kyen were both sleeping, which meant that he had the kitchen all for himself.
Since he wasn’t in a dream he couldn’t request any new special abilities, and the only one he had was the one to breathe under water, which wouldn’t be really useful at the present moment.
-Well...What am i going to do now? I can’t cook. Mmm i suppose i can give a try. – He said laughing.
-Let’s see what they have in the kitchen...Mmmm... Eggs, bacon, cheese... good, good.
-Some olive oil here, now the eggs, cheese and bacon, put it all together and mix up the whole thing...good.
-It already smells like nice food! I’m such a genius. –He said feeling really proud of himself.
Although he left the kitchen for such a short while but the food started burning, the fire got into the curtains and the smoke got upstairs.
Kyen suddenly woke up and got up, Mirayi fell on the floor, though Kyen had no time to help her get up. He ran down the stairs and with his wooden stick he called in aid the power of the Ice Magic and could control the fire.
